Migration is such an infinite part of human history; how did the concept for this exhibit develop and evolve? Co-curator, Catherine, and I started talking about this challenge in late 2016. Whereas I don’t recall the precise moment we began growing ideas for the exhibit, as we spoke about our respective expertise and interests, it turned clear that from within our completely different fields and shared issues we may develop a mission collectively based on the work of artists engaged with the subject of migration.
